My Background
My counselling career originally began with voluntary work after pursuing a commercial career and running my own business.
Finding this voluntary work very rewarding, I made a personal decision to pursue counselling as a full-time occupation.
Since then, my work has spanned working for various charities, firstly providing long-term therapy for adults under two local authority funded agencies.
Since 2001, I broadened into providing therapy for a range of issues on a private basis.
As part of the yearly accreditation process I regularly undertake further training and courses as part of my continous professional development.
What does BACP accreditation mean?
A recognised qualification by the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy, meaning a counsellor has met training and practice criteria established by this professional body. For you as a client this means that I work to uphold the professionalism and integrity required of a BACP accredited counsellor.
